Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Manager for a London FM service contract. You’ll oversee hard FM delivery across buildings, lead on-site engineering teams, and ensure maintenance aligns with high standards for safety and performance.

The role requires an engineering qualification and a proven track record in facilities management, with strong communication to staff and clients and a focus on continuous improvement and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience delivering service across a commercial portfolio (Hard Services).
• Previous FM engineering team management experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Account Director.
• Manage KPI and SLA delivery.
• Oversee the company’s H&S and environmental performance on the contract.
• Plan and implement building shutdowns and complex client project works.
• Manage the company’s quality procedures on site.
• Recruitment and development of staff, including appraisals.
• Manage staff attendance and disciplinary issues.
• Manage client relationships daily and oversee reporting.
• Identify and pursue additional business opportunities to increase contract revenue.
• Provide technical support to client and engineering team.
• Oversee the permit system.
• Attend client meetings.
• Demonstrate financial understanding (P&L, etc.).

Account Manager - FM Service Provider - London (City) - Up to £80,000

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider located in London.CBW are currently seeking an experienced Account Managerto oversee the delivery of all hard FM services across a portfolio of buildings. The successful candidate will be M&E qualified with a proven track record in facilities management.You will be responsible for managing dedicated on-site engineering teams, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards, and that the properties operate efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm

Key duties & responsibilities

• Report directly to the Account Director
• Manage agreed KPI and SLA's.
• Responsible for managing the company's H&S and environmental performance on the contract.
• Plan and implement building shutdowns and complex client project works.
• Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site
• Recruitment of any new staff
• Responsible for the development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals.
• Manage staff absenteeism and be responsible for disciplinary issues
• Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
• Management of all reports.
• Manage any additional business opportunities that will deliver client satisfaction and increase contract sales revenue
• Offer technical support to both the client and the engineering team
• Responsible for the permit system.
• Attend client meetings
• Financial understanding/experience (P&L etc)

Requirements

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical); C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
• Experience of service delivery across a commercial portfolio (Hard Services)
• Previous experience of managing an FM engineering team.
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
