Account Manager - Darwen

We are seeking a talented Account Manager to join our growing team based in Darwen. This full-time role involves working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, with no weekends or evenings. As part of our team, you will help us meet our commercial targets by maximising business and service opportunities from all contacts in a consistent, fair, and compliant manner. You will join an established, friendly, and experienced team ready to support your success.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager
  • Manage a portfolio of small/mid-range clients, meeting new business and renewal targets.
  • Adhere to sales quality standards to ensure high-quality customer outcomes.
  • Promote additional products and handle new business enquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the Private Medical Insurance market, products, and regulations.
  • Negotiate premiums with insurers to secure the best value for clients.
  • Record notes on all business interactions in the database.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed for compliance.
What we are looking for in our next Account Manager
  • Experience in Financial Services, General Insurance, or Private Medical Insurance is preferable.
  • Experience in a sales environment is advantageous.
  • Strong relationship and account management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
