The Account Executive, UK role is full-time, remote, and based in the UK. This is a new business role. You’ll be responsible for winning new apparel, footwear, and fashion retail customers in the UK. You won’t be managing an existing client portfolio.
You’ll own the full sales cycle, from building your own pipeline through to closing. Day-to-day, that means:
- Generating new opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, referrals, industry events, trade shows and digital channels
- Qualifying prospects by identifying decision makers, budgets, buying timelines and competing systems
- Running discovery to understand each prospect’s business challenges, such as inventory visibility, omnichannel complexity, season planning and margin pressure
- Presenting and demonstrating Apparel21’s ERP and retail solutions, and bringing in product specialists for deeper sessions
- Building a clear business case with ROI and the cost of doing nothing
- Preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms and managing deals through to signed contracts
- Handing new customers over smoothly to the account management and implementation teams
- Keeping HubSpot records and forecasts accurate, and reporting regularly on pipeline and sales activity
- Tracking the UK fashion ERP market and competitors, and feeding market insight back to the product and marketing teams
Qualifications
- Proven new business sales experience, ideally selling software, ERP or retail technology
- A track record of meeting or exceeding new business quotas
- Confidence prospecting and creating your own pipeline, not just working inbound leads
- A consultative selling approach: able to understand complex business processes and turn them into a clear solution and business case
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience managing multi-stakeholder deals through to close
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior decision-makers and writing clear proposals
- Familiarity with the fashion, footwear or apparel industry and UK retail market is highly advantageous
- An existing network in UK fashion or retail is a strong advantage
- Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce or similar) and standard office software
- Self-motivated and well organised, with a proven ability to work remotely and manage your own time
- Willingness to travel within the UK for client meetings and industry events
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
