Job summary

Sanity.io is seeking a German-speaking enterprise account executive to grow new business and expand existing accounts. You will build your own pipeline, run consultative, end-to-end sales cycles, and demonstrate clear ROI to executives and product teams.

A global, diverse team supports ambitious growth, with strong compensation and stock options. You will engage with enterprise clients, craft strategic plans, and collaborate across Product and Sales to drive renewal and expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

We're looking for a German speaker who's built and closed net-new enterprise deals in complex technical products, who blows past growth targets more often than they hit them, and who can turn what they learn about a customer into an account plan the whole team can act on. We care less about a perfect résumé match than clear communication, an entrepreneurial streak, and real curiosity about where your customers' industries are headed.

What you would do

• Grow a portfolio of enterprise accounts, mostly through net-new business: new teams, new use cases, business units that haven't bought Sanity yet.
• Build your own pipeline instead of waiting for one, and be the advisor customers call before they've even decided to make a move.
• Run consultative sales cycles start to finish and create expansion inside accounts you already own.
• Treat renewals as one chapter in a bigger growth story, not the finish line.
• Prove ROI to the exec who signs the contract and to the editor who lives in Studio every day.
• Keep account plans current, with next steps tied to what the customer and the company actually need.
• Partner with Product and other teams to surface opportunities and kill problems before they elevate.
• Watch customer health and usage data, and act on it early, not at renewal time.
• Follow your customers' industries closely enough to have a real point of view.

About you

• Sold net-new into enterprise organizations where a deal means procurement, security review, and half a dozen people who all need convincing, and built that pipeline yourself.
• Can point to real numbers on revenue, expansion, and account growth.
• Know how to find the actual decision-maker, earn executive buy-in, and build relationships that outlast any single deal.
• Consultative, not pushy: read usage data and turn it into a business conversation, talking architecture with a technical lead in one meeting and ROI with a CFO in the next.
• Ideally some CMS background, or experience selling API-based products in SaaS, CPaaS, or PaaS.
• Clear, direct written and verbal communication.
• Comfort working in Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Looker, and G-Suite.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, creative, team-oriented, happier building a process than waiting for one.
