Account Director - United Kingdom (London), gb

API is seeking a seasoned professional to join our company as an Account Director.

Location:

Remote in London, UK

Responsibilities:
  1. Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, actively managing existing relationships to maximize market share and revenue. Collaborate with the Research & Sourcing team to ensure seamless sourcing and destination management.
  2. Source & Contract Management: Oversee destination sourcing, initiate RFP processes, negotiate hotel contracts, and monitor market conditions to secure the best rates and terms. Conduct risk assessments and maintain strong hotel relationships.
  3. Site Inspections & Negotiations: Conduct hotel inspections domestically and internationally. Lead negotiations for contracts and renewals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  4. Account Operations: Manage day-to-day account activities, including crew feedback, hotel system updates, and CRM data management. Ensure all client deliverables are met and provide strategic recommendations.
  5. Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with sales and operations teams, lead client communications, and ensure internal teams are informed about client performance and needs.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in the travel industry, with a focus on hotel management.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Additional Details:
  • Salary range: GBP 50,000 - 55,000 annually.
  • Travel required: Up to 25%.
  • Work environment: Remote, with occasional international travel.
