Job description

API is seeking a seasoned professional to join our company as an Account Director. The position will be based remotely in the UK, London region. The Account Director serves as the main point of contact for clients, actively managing existing client relationships with our partners, always prioritizing the best interests of our clients and API.

Essential Functions
  1. Sourcing: Oversee the direction of existing API accounts to maximize relationships and expand market share, working closely with the Research & Sourcing team to ensure seamless sourcing processes.
  2. Assist with destination sourcing by initiating RFP processes, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring client needs are met with cost savings and revenue goals.
  3. Strategic Planning: Maximize API revenue and client savings through planning, sourcing timelines, and contract management.
  4. Site Inspections: Conduct hotel inspections domestically and internationally to ensure properties meet client criteria.
  5. Contracting: Negotiate hotel contracts, renewals, and addendums, monitoring market conditions to maintain optimal rates and terms.
  6. Day-to-Day Account Management: Collaborate with sales team, manage crew feedback, update hotel systems, and ensure data accuracy.
  7. CRM Management: Ensure all revenue opportunities and contracts are accurately recorded and maintained in CRM systems.
  8. Client Relationship & Communication: Maintain strong client relationships, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role operates remotely, requiring regular communication and physical activity such as standing, walking, and using hands for handling equipment.

Position Details
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening/weekend work.
  • Salary range: £50,000 - £55,000 annually.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.
Requirements
  • At least 7+ years experience in the travel industry, with extensive hotel collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
