Baltic Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Permanent Account Director (All Levels: Junior to Senior). This role is hybrid, with regional travel as required. Our client recognizes that great sales professionals develop at different stages and has designed an Account Director pathway to accommodate growth from strategic B2B sales, client portfolio management, to leading complex/senior partnerships. The role offers three levels: Junior Account Director, Account Director, and Senior Account Director.

The position involves building relationships, acquiring new clients, and driving account growth through high-quality apprenticeship/skills solutions. As you progress, you'll gain more autonomy, responsibility, and influence within the market, with clear progression pathways. You'll be part of a high-performing team across the UK's digital and tech sectors.

Key Responsibilities & Role Expectations
Junior Account Director
  • Develop strategic sales skills and confidence in client relationships.
  • Work towards 6 apprenticeship starts per month.
  • Generate leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking.
  • Manage accounts and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Contribute to proposals and tenders.
  • Deliver excellent customer experiences.
  • Build sector presence through networking events.
Account Director
  • Manage a portfolio and deliver results.
  • Target 7 apprenticeship starts per month.
  • Create acquisition strategies based on market insights.
  • Manage prospect pipelines and strategic clients.
  • Develop proposals and support tenders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for impactful solutions.
  • Attend sector events and client meetings.
Senior Account Director
  • Serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor for high-value clients.
  • Target 9 apprenticeship starts per month.
  • Lead complex client relationships with a long-term view.
  • Design and execute sophisticated go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead tenders for opportunities of up to 5 starts.
  • Utilize data and market intelligence for decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums.
  • Influence internal product and delivery teams.

  • Proven success in strategic account management in apprenticeships, training, or related B2B services.
  • Insight-led, consultative sales approach.
  • Experience with tenders, bids, and procurement frameworks.
  • Ability to approve qualified apprenticeship vacancies, maintaining learner retention.
