Accommodation Support Worker
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Accommodation Support Worker to support people at risk of homelessness in Oldham to move towards independent living.
The Oldham A Bed for Every Night (ABEN) project is a temporary supported accommodation initiative focused on providing stability and building independence skills for adults who have experienced rough sleeping, helping them transition to long-term accommodation. Clients are adults aged over 18 with various support needs, and the service provides 24-hour support.
As an Accommodation Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults (aged 18+) as they move from emergency accommodation into their own homes. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will lead on support planning, risk assessments, and daily engagement with your clients.
Your responsibilities include helping clients achieve personal goals, supporting access to education, employment, or volunteering, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. You will also contribute to group activities and service development.
We’re looking for someone passionate about supporting people who have experienced homelessness or trauma. You should be organized, empathetic, and a strong communicator. You will need:
