Job summary

YMCA Trinity Group is seeking an Accommodation Case Worker in Ipswich to support young people in developing independence within a safe and nurturing environment.

You will manage residents' caseloads, conduct risk assessments, safeguard, and collaborate with partners to access services, while ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards. 40-hour week with a rotating pattern including evenings and weekends; salary £28,246.40–£29,369.60 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people or in a supported housing environment.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and risk assessment.
• Understanding of housing, benefits and support services (e.g. DWP).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work on a 7-day rota including evenings and weekends.
• Committed to achieving at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.

About the role

YMCA Trinity Group is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Accommodation Caseworker to join our team. This new, exciting role is part of a new era of work with young people. You will play a key role in supporting young people to develop independence, providing high-quality, person-centred support within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents, ensuring accurate records, support plans, and professional administration


• Complete risk assessments and identify safeguarding concerns, taking appropriate action where required


• Provide tailored, person-centred support to help residents develop independence and access relevant services


• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to meet residents' needs


• Maintain compliance with organisational standards, including Ofsted requirements, and contribute to case reflections, audits, and meetings

What We're Looking For

• Has experience working with young people or in a supported housing environment


• Has strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and support planning


• Understands housing, benefits, and support services (e.g. DWP)


• Has excellent communication and organisational skills


• Can work flexibly as part of a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends


• Committed to achieving at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject

What we offer

Annual salary £28246.40 - £29369.60 - dependent on qualification (at least Level 3)
