Job summary

YMCA Trinity Group is seeking an Accommodation Case Worker in Ipswich to support young people in developing independence within a safe, nurturing environment. You will manage caseloads, carry out risk assessments, and coordinate with internal and external partners to meet residents’ needs.

The role requires strong safeguarding knowledge, communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to equality and inclusion. A Level 3 qualification and an ability to work a 7-day rota are essential.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with young people or in a supported housing environment.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and support planning.
• Understands housing, benefits, and support services (e.g. DWP).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Able to work flexibly on a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends.
• Committed to achieving at least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.

Responsibilities

About the role

YMCA Trinity Group is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Accommodation Caseworker to join our team. This new, exciting role is part of a new era of work with young people. You will play a key role in supporting young people to develop independence, providing high-quality, person-centred support within a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of residents, ensuring accurate records, support plans, and professional administration

In accordance with safer recruitment processes many of the roles we recruit for require successful candidates to undertake an appropriate criminal record background check. Days and hours – 40 hours per week – 8 week rota pattern including evenings and weekends.

What we offer

Annual salary £28246.40 - £29369.60 – dependent on qualification (at least Level 3)
