Accessories Product Development Assistant
Support the Accessories team (Leathergoods & Licensing Director and Product Development Manager) in delivering the end-to-end development process of the Accessories division, including Bags, Belts, Footwear, Jewellery, and Special Projects.
The PD Assistant will provide essential administrative and organizational support to ensure the smooth running of the product development cycle, including:
- Maintaining all product data in the PLM system, managing the library of raw materials and prototypes;
- Sampling and responding proactively to internal and external requests, acting on updates in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Upload and maintain new collection data on the PLM system.
- Create and follow up on Purchase Orders.
- Compile visual plans for all accessories categories for internal communications (meetings).
- Support the Product Development Manager with tech packs for suppliers, including all product specifications and pre-production comments.
- Liaise with suppliers on shipments, tracking, and monitoring deliveries.
- Coordinate with internal E-commerce and Creative teams to organize accessories samples for shoots and oversee image retouching.
- Prepare materials for Design and Product Development Meetings, such as prototypes, raw materials, color cards, boards, and room setup, and attend meetings to track decisions and updates.
- Manage samples: maintain an up-to-date sample tracker with images, monitor sample lending for shoots, press, and gifting, and handle labeling and archiving.
- Maintain an updated library of raw materials (trims, leathers, hardware, color cards) for quick access.
- Support with product and material information, including composition, HTS codes, and tech sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of Shows, Fittings, and Shoots, including sample preparation, shipments, packing lists, and tools.
- Preferably, have 1-2 years of experience in Product Development, especially in Leathergoods/Accessories.
- Italian language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for clear internal and external information sharing.
- Flexible attitude and commitment to completing tasks.
