Job summary

School of Coding & AI is seeking a Disability & Accessibility Advisor to join the Student Support team with a January 2027 start. You will work directly with students to understand needs, provide practical guidance and remove barriers affecting education and student experience.

This student-facing role includes weekend work as part of a regular pattern, requiring empathy, effective communication and proactive problem-solving to support inclusion and accessibility across our programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support, accessibility or student services.
• Strong communicator with empathy and organisational skills.
• Willing to work weekends and start in January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Meet with students to understand their support needs.
• Advise on reasonable adjustments and accessibility support.
• Assist students with Disables Students' Allowance (DSA) guidance.
• Develop and review personalised support plans.
• Coordinate with academic and support teams to implement adjustments.
• Advocate for students to ensure needs are understood.
• Provide guidance on accessibility and inclusion.
• Refer students to internal/external services when needed.
• Keep confidential student records.
• Contribute to accessibility processes and frameworks.
• Support workshops and events focused on accessibility and inclusion.
