Job summary

Corps Security, based in Watford, is seeking an Access Control Officer to manage site access for visitors, clients and contractors across day and night shifts. You will be the first point of contact and ensure only authorised access per bookings and escalation procedures when needed.

The role requires a valid SIA Front‑Line License, knowledge of access control systems, and strong IT skills. You will work within a dynamic team to maintain safety, reporting and incident response across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar security role and organisation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
• Knowledge of Access Control Software – preferably C-Cure 9000.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to meet BS7858 vetting standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide access to site Visitors, Clients and Contracts using C-Cure 9000 & VM Easy.
• Have full compliance with operational instructions e.g. alarm responses, building access, production.
• Reporting/escalation of issues to Corps Security and on-site management.
• Produce clear, logical and well-written operational reports to required timeframes.
• To be fully conversant with site systems and procedures.
• Support Corps Security and site management teams in identifying and implementing service improvements.
• To be fully conversant with all changes in building occupiers, setup and productions and to ensure information is passed both upwards and cascaded downwards.
• Maintaining safety and security through the operation of the integrated security systems.
• Liaise with external authorities including the police.
• Providing immediate response in the event of any major/minor incidents, ranging from responding to medical incidents, fire alarm activations/evacuations and crisis and response.
• Any other admin duties that the DSMs, Supervisors or clients deems necessary or commensurate with the position.
