Job summary

Hexagon Recruitment is seeking a Door Access Control Engineer in the United Kingdom to install, maintain and troubleshoot door access control systems. This role may involve installing network infrastructure cabling and related electrical work.

The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic security systems, including key card access and biometric systems, and possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Salary & Package - £46k to £55k + Paid Overtime + Company Van + Expenses + Health Benefits Package + 25 & 8 Bank Holidays per annum.

Job Summary

The Door Access Control Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of door access control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic security systems and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role will also include other installation work for the company, including but not limited to the installation of network infrastructure cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
• Provide training and support to clients on the use of access control systems.
• Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Travel locally or where required nationally is also required.
