Job summary

Exchange People is seeking an Access Control & Data Installation Engineer in London to join its installations team. You will install, configure and maintain door access control systems and data services at retail and commercial sites, with UK-wide travel.

This permanent role includes on-site work, supporting customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Training and detailed record-keeping are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining door access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems (key card, biometric, intercom).
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Verkada security systems is an advantage.

Access Control & Data Installation Engineer - £46,000 - £50,000 p/a + Overtime!

Our client, a leading UK-wide organisation, are looking for a Mobile Technicians to join their installations team. Working independently and throughout the UK, you will be responsible for supporting their customers with door access control equipment and Data services at retail and commercial sites.

This role will also include other installation work for the company, including but not limited to the installation of network infrastructure cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
• Provide training and support to clients on the use of access control systems.
• Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.

The salary is £46,000 - £50,000 per annum dependant on experience plus opportunities for overtime!
