Job summary

Hexagon Recruitment is seeking a CCTV & Access Control Field Engineer in the UK to install, maintain and troubleshoot door access control systems and related cabling. The role requires independent work and strong team collaboration to meet client security needs.

You will manage hardware and software components, perform preventive maintenance, and document installations. National travel may be required, and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in installing and maintaining door access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including key card access, biometric systems, and intercom systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Verkada security systems is an advantage.
• Hold a Full Valid UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain door access control systems, including hardware and software components.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of access control systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control systems, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities.
• Provide training and support to clients on the use of access control systems.
• Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Travel locally or where required nationally is also required.

Salary & Package - £46k to £55k + Paid Overtime + Company Van + Expenses + Health Benefits Package + 25 & 8 Bank Holidays per annum.

Job Summary

The CCTV & Door Access Control Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of door access control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic security systems and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role will also include other installation work for the company, including but not limited to the installation of network infrastructure cabling (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a etc.)
