Role: Accelerator Programme Manager

Contract: FTC (1 year)

Salary: £50-60k+ (plus 18% bonus, 23% pension, and more)

Location: London (hybrid – 2 days per week)

A growing, mission-driven boutique technology accelerator is looking for an Accelerator Programme Manager to join their dynamic start-up team. The organization works with clients in safety-critical industries, helping them accelerate the adoption of advanced digital and tech solutions to tackle complex challenges around safety, risk, and operational efficiency.

They work with a wide array of emerging technologies such as drones, sensors, industrial IoT, wearables, and robotics to create real-world solutions. Recent initiatives include reducing methane emissions from LNG-powered vessels and implementing AI-driven systems for real-time incident prevention to enhance workplace safety. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking solutions that merge technology with societal impact.

Key Responsibilities of the Accelerator Programme Manager:

  • Lead Innovation Projects: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of accelerator and innovation programs, working with cross-functional teams
  • Engage Clients: Shape project strategies, translating client requirements into actionable plans
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Design and lead workshops, sprints, and stakeholder sessions to foster team collaboration
  • Deliver Pilots: Lead or support technology trials, working closely with clients and startups, and gathering key insights
  • Create Content: Develop clear, impactful reports, presentations, and briefings to communicate findings
  • Drive Team Delivery: Build a positive team culture, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure high-quality results
  • Manage Stakeholders: Coordinate with clients, startups, and partners, supporting reviews and governance processes
  • Capture Knowledge: Document key learnings and insights to drive continuous improvement and future delivery

Key Requirements for the Accelerator Programme Manager:

  • At least 5-6 years of experience in innovation, consultancy, or program delivery, ideally in tech-driven or startup environments
  • Comfortable discussing technology, innovation, and digital trends, even without a technical background
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stay focused under pressure
  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts and engaging diverse audiences
  • Experienced in leading workshops, sprints, and collaborative sessions
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a self-starting mindset
  • Desirable: Experience in innovation programs, accelerators, venture studios, or working directly with startups
  • Desirable: Familiarity with safety-critical sectors such as maritime, energy, transport, or manufacturing, especially in innovation or decarbonization
  • Desirable: Willingness to travel occasionally for events or to meet with partners and stakeholders
