Job summary

Study Group is seeking a Progression & Transition Coach at the University of Sussex International Study Centre in Brighton, to support students’ progression needs face-to-face and online. The role covers tutorial delivery, 1:1 coaching and programme activities to prepare students for higher education transitions.

The post holder will deliver Academic Success tutorials, manage attendance interventions, track progression, and liaise with academic teams and wellbeing services to support student

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience to demonstrate ability to work and think independently.
• Experience in organising trips and visits including completing necessary risk assessments.
• Experience of creating engaging content and delivering workshops or similar.
• Experience of working collaboratively with external partners to facilitate activities and engagement.
• Experience of facilitating the 'student voice' including demonstrating the use of effective feedback mechanisms.
• Working in a regulated environment.
• Working in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Academic Success tutorials and 1:1 personal development guidance.
• Collaborate within the network to design learning materials around study skills, welfare, and employability.
• Update and maintain the virtual learning environment and embed digital learning technologies.
• Monitor attendance and track student performance with interventions as needed.
• Coordinate with Student Wellbeing and external partners to support welfare and progression.
• Provide general administration support and cover duties during peak periods.
