Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Mobile AC Engineer to join our facilities management team in South London. You will maintain and repair a range of HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial sites, ensuring F-Gas compliance and high service standards for clients.

The role covers PPM and reactive maintenance on VRF/VRV, split and chiller equipment, with on-call duties and opportunities for training and career progression within a national FM business.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years' experience as Mobile AC Engineer in commercial/building services or FM environment.
• F-Gas certification and compliance knowledge.
• Experience with VRF/VRV, split systems, chillers and close control equipment.

Aufgaben

• Carry out PPM and reactive repairs on commercial AC and refrigeration equipment.
• Service and fault-find on VRF/VRV, splits, chillers and close control units.
• Ensure F-Gas compliance and safety procedures are followed.
• Complete refrigerant leak testing and documentation.
• Maintain digital service reports, timesheets and refrigerant records.
• Produce RAMS and Permit to Work procedures.
• Provide updates to clients and site management.
• Identify energy efficiency improvements and retrofit opportunities.
• Participate in regional on-call rota.

AC Engineer

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile AC Engineer to join a leading facilities management and property services business. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a varied commercial portfolio, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC and cooling systems.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical cooling equipment, diagnosing faults, ensuring full F-Gas compliance, and delivering an exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Service, maintain and fault find on: VRV/VRF Systems, Split & Multi-Split Systems, Water-Cooled Chillers, DX Close Control Units.
• Diagnose refrigeration and AC faults using superheat, sub-cooling and electrical testing methods.
• Ensure full compliance with F-Gas Regulations and company safety procedures.
• Complete refrigerant leak testing, recovery and associated documentation.
• Maintain accurate digital service reports, timesheets and refrigerant records.
• Produce and follow RAMS and Permit to Work procedures.
• Provide technical advice and updates to clients and site management.
• Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, energy efficiency improvements and R32 retrofits.
• Participate in the regional Out of Hours call-out rota.

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds 2079 Category 1 F-Gas Certification (Essential)
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mobile AC Engineer within a Commercial Building Services or Hard FM environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on VRF/VRV, Splits, Chillers and Close Control equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

• Daikin, Mitsubishi or Toshiba manufacturer training
• Electrical fault-finding experience
• Knowledge of BMS controls
• IPAF
• PASMA
• Experience within healthcare, retail, education or commercial environments
