Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will design, develop and optimise ABAP solutions within our SAP PRO environment, supporting migration from SAP UKP and delivering high-quality, reliable outcomes.

This remote UK-based role requires proactive problem-solving and collaboration with technical and functional teams. Responsibilities include migration, custom development, performance optimization, testing and thorough documentation,

Qualifications

Proven experience in SAP ABAP development (reports, interfaces, extensions, forms, workflows).
Experience with SAP system migrations and large upgrade projects.
Strong troubleshooting and ABAP optimization skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee migration of data and customize ABAP to fit new system requirements.
Develop and modify ABAP programs to support new functionalities and optimize performance.
Provide ongoing technical support during migrations and enhancements.
Collaborate with ERP, functional teams and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and timelines.
Lead testing (unit, integration, regression) to ensure migration success and document changes.
Document procedures and facilitate knowledge transfer for post-project support.
