Job summary

AG Consultancy & Apps Ltd is seeking a talented SAP ABAP Consultant to design, build, and support high-quality SAP solutions in a hybrid role based in Slough, UK. You will work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust ABAP developments and integrations.

The role covers implementation and support engagements, including ABAP, Fiori, and BPM/RICEF components, with on-site presence Tue-Thu in Slough and remote days as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of SAP ABAP development experience within SAP project environments.
• ABAP and OO ABAP
• Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs, and BTEs
• ALE, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and APIs
• Experience delivering technical developments across SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
• Participation in at least two full lifecycle SAP projects.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Experience working alongside functional consultants and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development concepts and frameworks.
• Exposure to SAP BTP and modern SAP development tools.
• Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and OData development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions using SAP ABAP technologies.

• Develop and enhance custom SAP applications based on business and functional requirements.

• Work with SAP development tools including Eclipse ADT, SAP BAS, and SAP Web IDE.
• Contribute to SAP development activities within SAP BTP where required.
• Develop and support interfaces using technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and ALE.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in technical design workshops and contribute to solution design discussions.
• Support testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for existing SAP solutions and enhancements.
• Deliver consulting services across implementation, upgrade, transformation, and support projects.
• Assist end users through training, knowledge transfer, issue resolution, and best-practice guidance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure clients receive exceptional service and high-quality deliverables at all times.
• Complete all mandatory training relating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001.
• Support the organisation in achieving and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards.

We are looking for a talented SAP ABAP Consultant with strong technical design and development experience across core SAP technologies. This role will focus on delivering high-quality SAP developments, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to design, build, and support innovative SAP solutions. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical consultant with experience across ABAP, integrations, enhancements, and SAP development frameworks, capable of working independently while contributing to project teams across both implementation and support engagements. This role is based in Slough, UK, operating on a hybrid working model with onsite presence required Tuesday to Thursday each week.

Location / Working Pattern

• Based in Slough, UK
• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Required onsite in Slough Tuesday to Thursday each week.
• Remote working available on remaining working days, subject to business and project requirements.
