are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Criminology Lecturer to join a leading sixth form college in Manchester, starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to teach A Level Criminology in an innovative and forward-thinking educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality A Level Criminology lessons to enthusiastic and motivated students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and challenge students academically.
  • Assess student progress through regular feedback, exams, coursework, and other formative assessments.
  • Support students in achieving their potential and provide additional guidance to those needing extra help.
  • Contribute to the development of the Criminology curriculum and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and wider school activities to support student learning and achievement.
Essential Requirements
  • A degree in Criminology or a closely related subject.
  • Teaching experience in Criminology (A Level or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of the A Level Criminology curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Passion for Criminology and a commitment to delivering an outstanding learning experience.
