North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker to join the A&E team at WCH on a 5-month fixed term basis. The role offers departmental induction and opportunities for professional development within a multidisciplinary environment, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

The essential criteria include a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent and a willingness to undertake the care certificate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 vocational qualification OR Short courses and competency workbook equivalent to Level 3.
• Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties.
• Theoretical knowledge.
• Experience of a range of care and related procedures.
• Knowledge of data protection legislation and health and safety at work.
• National Care Certificate or commitment to complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment.
• Numeracy and Literacy Level 2.
• Undertaken relevant additional training for Clinical Support Workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the in the care of adults and children in the A&E department as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support leadership and nursing/midwifery services to deliver high standards of patient care.
• Facilitate safe patient flows and efficient management of resources in the clinical area.
