NCIC is recruiting a Staff Nurse (Band 5) for the A&E department at West Cumberland Hospital in Hensingham. This fixed-term role runs to March 2027 with full-time hours (75 per week) including long days, mid shifts and nights.

The post offers a supportive preceptorship and induction, with opportunities for professional development within an evolving trauma and emergency care setting. Applicants from both experienced and newly qualified nurses are welcome.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active registration (NMC).
• Experience in acute nursing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control.
• Commitment to patient-centred care and safety.

Responsabilités

• Manage and provide all aspects of patient care.
• Act in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.
• Assist other nurses in the team.
• Demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing practice.
• Maintain accurate records and data input into systems.
