Qualifications

• No more than 6 points on licence (no TT/IN/CU/DR/DG/CD/DD).
• Over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and provide excellent customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle handball and push trolleys; some multi-drop runs (up to 12 per shift).
• Complete vehicle checks and defects paperwork as required.
• Work on a temp transfer basis with on‑the‑job training.

7.5T Driver - Shifts and Hours:

• Monday to Friday - £19.49 inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)
• Monday to Friday - no weekends!
• Start Times: 05:00 am
• 10 hours guaranteed per shift

Location: Warwick

This role is commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Banbury, Southam, Kenilworth, Southeast Birmingham and the other surrounding areas.

GI Group are recruiting 7.5T Drivers for a position with our client based in Warwick. We have a prestigious company that has operated in the area for over many years.

7.5T Driver - The Role:

The 7.5T driver position is due to run until Christmas, supporting our client with their peak period during the Festive season. Handball is to be expected pushing trolleys, and this position may include some multi-drop runs (Up to 12 per shift). This is a temporary transfer position and training will be provided on the job. The 7.5T driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.

The candidate:

• Will hold a 7.5T / LGV C1 licence entitlement with at least 1 year's experience
• Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
• Will have no more than 6 points on licence (no TT/IN/CU/DR/DG/CD/DD codes)
• Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
