Job summary

Veolia Dover depot is seeking a 7.5T Driver/Loader to join our team. You will drive 7.5T Waste Vehicles to planned collection points, load waste when not driving, and complete daily vehicle checks using onboard systems.

We offer a 40-hour week, competitive salary of £31,807.23, and a range of benefits including pension, health services, and flexible welfare options. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid 7.5T licence.
• CPC/DIGI card up-to-date.
• Ability to work well as a team with excellent communication.
• Strong time management skills.
• Desirable: local geographical knowledge.
• Desirable: previous experience in the waste industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive 7.5T Waste Vehicles to planned collection locations.
• Load waste into the vehicle when not driving.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and log notes.
• Comply with traffic laws and keep the work environment safe.
• Collaborate with the team to record daily information from onboard system.
• Ensure spillages are cleaned and the vehicle is tipped and cleaned.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Report accidents to depot management.
