Job summary

Manpower in Coventry is seeking reliable 7.5t drivers for an ongoing temporary role. You will operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centers and delivery locations, and complete delivery paperwork with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C1 driving licence is essential.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points with no serious endorsements.
• At least 1 year of 7.5t driving experience in logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport rules and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between depots and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects per procedures.
• Load/unload goods safely and secure all items.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while communicating with the operations team.
• Adhere to road transport laws, safety guidelines and company policy.
• Carry out multiple drops per shift per route assignment.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate 7.5t vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Multiple drops per shift, depending on route assigned.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK C1 driving licence.
