Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced 7.5T Delivery & Install Driver for immediate start in Basingstoke. The role is temp-to-perm with 50 hours per week across 5 days, delivering bathroom products to customers, sites and showrooms in Southern England.

You will join a two-person team, handling products safely and professionally and performing vehicle checks. A Category C1 licence, Driver CPC, and Tachograph card are essential for applicants.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C1 licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous 7.5T driving experience and multi-drop delivery experience are essential.
• Good customer service and communication skills are required.
• Flexible approach to working hours and routes.

7.5T Delivery & Install Driver - Immediate Start

Location: Basingstoke
Pay: £14.75 per hour
Hours: 50 hours per week, 5 days over 7
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T Delivery & Install Driver on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for a long-term position with the potential to move into a permanent role.

You will work as part of a two-person delivery and installation team, delivering bathroom and related products to customers, building sites and showrooms across Southern England and surrounding areas.

This is a customer-facing role involving much more than simply driving. You will be responsible for delivering products safely and professionally, carrying items into properties and positioning them where required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 7.5T vehicle
• Complete multi-drop deliveries to customers, sites and showrooms
• Work as part of a professional two-person delivery team
• Deliver bathroom products including tiles, sanitaryware, furniture and other related products
• Safely carry and position products at delivery locations
• Carry products into customers' properties, including upstairs where safe and appropriate
• Use pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism
• Keep the vehicle clean, safe and roadworthy

Requirements:

• Full UK Category C1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous 7.5T driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience with manual handling and delivery work
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Good geographical knowledge
• Reliable, professional and hardworking approach

You will be required to:

• Lift and carry heavy bathroom products
• Carry products into customers' homes and other delivery locations
