Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd on behalf of our client in Warrington is seeking multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team. Hours are Monday to Friday with a 07:30 start, paying £16.05 PAYE per hour in Warrington (WA4).

This temp-to-perm role involves deliveries, collections, and active manual handling. Candidates must hold a full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement, 1 year experience, valid DCPC and Tachograph, and a clean license (no more than 6 points).

Qualifications

Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
1 year experience required.
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

Deliveries and collections
Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
