Job summary

Southern Recruitment Ltd T/A Driver Hire Brighton is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver for roles with builder merchants and retail clients around the Brighton area. The job involves manual handling and requires a fit candidate with a valid C1 licence, CPC and tachograph card, and proof of right to work in the UK.

Expect a Monday to Friday schedule with weekend options and the potential for a permanent position based on performance.

Qualifications

• UK licence with Category C1 entitlement (min 12 months, max 6 points).
• Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proof of right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate with NI).
• Physically fit with manual handling experience.
• No DR, DG or TT endorsements.
• Experience driving 7.5t vehicles (pallets, curtain-sider, multi-drop).
• Awareness of Health and Safety; wear safety boots, gloves & hi-vis.
• HGV Satnav experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to work for a range of builder merchants and retail clients across in the Brighton area. There will be manual handling involved, so this role would suit someone that is physically fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient driving of a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Manual lifting of products as a core part of the daily routine.
• Ensuring digital tachograph compliance, as required.
• Providing excellent customer service on behalf of our clienst.
