Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for HGV 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established client based in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity offering day and night shifts, weekly pay, immediate starts and ongoing work, with no heavy lifting involved.

As an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will operate Category C1 vehicles, complete deliveries to schedule, perform daily safety checks and ensure loads are secure before departure. A valid UK C1 licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum six months' Category C1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Category C1 vehicles.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Completing deliveries in line with planned routes.
• Ensuring loads are secure before departure.
• Following transport regulations and road traffic laws.
• Communicating effectively with transport office and customers.
• Reporting vehicle defects promptly.
• Deliveries completed on time without heavy lifting.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established client based in Tamworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, day and night shifts, weekly pay, immediate starts and ongoing work, with no heavy lifting involved.

£15.00-£16.15 Per Hour | Day and Night Shifts | Weekly Pay | No Heavy Lifting | Immediate Starts | Ongoing Work

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, 7.5T Driver, Category C1 Driver, LGV Driver, Commercial Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday days: 6:00am - 10:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday days: 6:00am - 10:00pm
• Monday to Sunday nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am
• Day and night shifts available

Rates of Pay

• £15.00 per hour - day shifts
• £16.15 per hour - night shifts
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:

• Safely operating Category C1 vehicles
• Completing deliveries in line with planned routes and schedules
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure before departure
• Completing deliveries without heavy lifting
• Following road traffic legislation and transport regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum six months' Category C1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor driving offences
• No major driving endorsement codes
• Good spoken and written English
• Strong understanding of road traffic legislation and vehicle safety
• Excellent punctuality, time management and communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience
• Customer-facing delivery experience
