Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Swansea area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule with an 08:00 start. This position is initially Temp to Perm, with potential progression as operations grow.

You will be loading/unloading parcels, updating delivery statuses, and assisting with movement of cages and vehicles. Pay is £16.05 per hour PAYE, with overtime at £23.43 per hour after 40 hours, in Swansea, SA5 7DU.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 12 months driving experience required.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.

• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Assist with movement of cages and equipment as needed.
• Reverse in the yard and manoeuvre vehicles with precision, including shunting duties.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £23.43ph PAYE

The role:

• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• 12 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
