Rapier Recruitment is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver for routes in Ipswich. You will join a two-person delivery crew to perform multi-drop home deliveries of heavy goods and appliances, with training and ongoing support.

Starting from 06:00, shifts include Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday patterns. Immediate starts, weekly pay, and potential overtime accompany a modern fleet and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence and Driver CPC qualification are essential.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience is preferred.
• Flexibility for weekend work and manual handling capability are required.
• Reliable, professional and punctual attitude; DBS check may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop home deliveries as part of a two-person crew.
• Deliver heavy goods and appliances to customers' homes.
• Assist with manual handling alongside the Driver's Mate.
• Plan delivery routes and ensure efficient delivery execution.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and delivery paperwork.
• Provide professional customer service at each delivery.
• Adhere to road transport laws and company procedures.

The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will work alongside a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop home deliveries.

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries to customers' homes
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as part of a two-person team
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork
• Providing professional and friendly customer service at each delivery
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures

Shift Pattern

You will be required to work one of the following shift patterns:

• Sunday to Thursday
• Tuesday to Saturday

Start times are from 06:00. Overtime may also be available.

What We're Looking For
