Job summary

Candidate Source is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to deliver household appliances across the Midlands in a two-person crew. You will be trained by an experienced team member to learn routes, delivery processes and installation requirements.

New Class 2 passes are welcome, with ongoing full-time work and weekly pay. The role includes training, holiday entitlement and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Full UK LGV Licence required (Category C or C1).
• No DD, DR, TT or IN10 endorsements.
• Previous delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to safely handle and deliver household appliances.
• Strong customer service skills when visiting customers' homes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver approximately 2025 household appliance deliveries per day across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Work in a two-person crew, sharing tachograph responsibilities as needed.
• Safely unload appliances and deliver them into customers' properties.
• Assist with appliance installation where required.
• Provide a professional and helpful service throughout each delivery.
• Follow routes and procedures for safe and efficient deliveries.

Job description

Getting every delivery safely into a customers home takes more than simply getting from A to B. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, youll work within a two-person delivery crew, delivering household appliances across the Midlands while providing a professional service at every stop.

You'll initially work alongside an experienced permanent member of the team, giving you the support and training needed to understand the routes, delivery process and appliance installation requirements. New Class 2 passes are welcome, making this a strong opportunity to build your commercial driving experience with an established operation.

Your responsibilities as 7.5 Tonne Driver

• Complete approximately 2025 household appliance deliveries per day across the Midlands and surrounding areas
• Work within a two-person crew, sharing tachograph responsibilities where required
• Safely unload appliances and deliver them into customers properties
• Assist with appliance installation where required
• Provide a professional and helpful service throughout each customer delivery
• Complete routes safely and efficiently while following relevant driving, delivery and site procedures

What were looking for in a 7.5 Tonne Driver

• Full UK LGV Category C or C1 driving licence with no more than nine penalty points; newly qualified Category C licence holders are welcome
• No DD, DR, TT or IN10 endorsements
• Previous delivery experience
• Ability to safely undertake the physical handling involved in delivering household appliances
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach when working in customers homes

Working hours: Monday to Friday, with start times between 4:00am and 6:00am. Shifts are typically 1215 hours, depending on the delivery route.
