Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is advertising a 7.5 Tonne Driver role in Leicester, joining a two-person delivery crew to move household appliances across the Midlands. You will receive thorough training and work alongside an experienced team member, with potential for long-term work and ongoing full-time hours.

Expect shifts Monday to Friday starting early morning, around 4:00–6:00, delivering 20–25 appliances per day, with a focus on safe unloading, installation support, and excellent customer service in

Qualifications

• Full UK LGV Category C or C1 driving licence with no more than nine penalty points; newly qualified Category C licence holders are welcome.
• No DD, DR, TT or IN10 endorsements
• Previous delivery experience
• Ability to safely undertake the physical handling involved in delivering household appliances
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach when working in customers’ homes

Responsibilities

• Complete approximately 20–25 household appliance deliveries per day across the Midlands and surrounding areas
• Work within a two-person crew, sharing tachograph responsibilities where required
• Safely unload appliances and deliver them into customers’ properties
• Assist with appliance installation where required
• Provide a professional and helpful service throughout each customer delivery
• Complete routes safely and efficiently while following relevant driving, delivery and site procedures

Job description

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver in Leicester, you will join a two-person crew delivering household appliances across the Midlands. Your role involves ensuring every item reaches a customer's home safely and providing a professional service at each stop. You will initially work alongside an experienced permanent team member, receiving thorough training on routes, delivery procedures, and installation requirements. Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome, offering a solid foundation for building commercial driving experience. This temporary position pays between £15.00 and £16.50 per hour, with weekly pay and ongoing, full-time hours. The assignment offers potential for long-term work, supported by comprehensive training and assistance from an established operation. Getting every delivery safely into a customer’s home takes more than simply getting from A to B. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you’ll work within a two-person delivery crew, delivering household appliances across the Midlands while providing a professional service at every stop. You’ll initially work alongside an experienced permanent member of the team, giving you the support and training needed to understand the routes, delivery process and appliance installation requirements. New Class 2 passes are welcome, making this a strong opportunity to build your commercial driving experience with an established operation.

Working hours
