Job summary

Scs Sofas is seeking a Delivery Driver in Livingston, UK. You will deliver and install furniture at customers' homes and work with a teammate to follow a delivery schedule.

The role requires a Category C1 licence, a driver CPC, and a tachograph card; heavy lifting is involved and customer service is key. You’ll join a team focused on safety and great service.

Qualifications

• Category C1 vehicle licence and Driver CPC qualification required.
• Driver digital tachograph card required.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and be physically fit.
• Previous driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and installing furniture in customers homes.
• Work with crew mate on delivery schedule.
• Load and unload furniture onto vehicles as part of a wider distribution centre team.
• Provide excellent service to customers and encourage feedback.
• Carry out safety checks and drive safely.
• Work 44 hours over 4 days with Sundays off; some peak period flexibility.
• Heavy lifting may be required.

Previous furniture delivery experience can be a benefit, but we find personality and the ability to learn new skills more important.

What does the role involve?

• Delivering and installing furniture in customers homes
• Working through a delivery schedule with the support of your crew mate
• Work as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles
• Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback
• Making sure the team is safe by carrying out checks and driving safely
• Work 44 hours over 4 days with every Sunday off. Flexibility would be required in peak periods
• Heavy lifting

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a driving role
• Category C1 vehicle licence
• Driver digital tachograph card
• Relevant drivers CPC qualification (certificate of professional competence)
• Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements of operating a vehicle and is familiar with the use and regulation of tacographs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow process and procedures
• Strives to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling as this role involves heavy lifting

• Experience in a warehouse environment (desirable)
