Job summary

Bensons for Beds is seeking an experienced 7.5 tonne driver to join our home delivery team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver beds, mattresses and furniture to customer homes and assemble items in the room of choice, delivering a friendly, professional service with care.

This role operates Mon–Fri with no weekend shifts, includes a weekly performance bonus, paid training and additional benefits such as Life Assurance and Medicash discounts.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK driving licence Cat C1 with CPC DQ card or valid digital card.
• Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle is required.
• Experience using digital tachographs is required.
• Good people skills and prior customer-facing experience are preferred.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy furniture with manual handling experience.
• Understanding of EU driving legislation and tachograph rules.
• Desirable PDA experience; must be 21 or over for insurance purposes.

The job

• Deliver beds, mattresses, and furniture into customer homes
• Assemble items in the room of choice

Who do we want?

• You must have a UK driving licence Cat C1 along with a valid driver’s CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card
• Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle
• Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs
• Good people skills and some previous experience in a customer facing role
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience is essential
• Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law
• Desirable experience of using a PDA
