Job summary

poltronesofà S.p.A. is hiring a 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver for our Coventry Distribution Centre. You will deliver and install furniture at customers’ homes, work with a teammate on a delivery schedule, and help load/unload in the warehouse as part of a wider team.

The role requires a Category C1 licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and strong customer service skills. You’ll work 44 hours over 4 days with Sundays off and be part of a safety‑driven, hardworking team.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience is a plus, but personality and the ability to learn new skills matter.
• Category C1 licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations and safe vehicle operation is essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Warehouse experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and installing furniture in customers’ homes.
• Coordinate delivery schedule with crew mate.
• Assist with loading/unloading furniture onto vehicles as part of the distribution centre team.
• Provide excellent customer service and encourage feedback.
• Conduct safety checks and drive safely to keep the team safe.
• Work 44 hours over 4 days with Sundays off; some peak-period flexibility.

What does the role involve?

• Delivering and installing furniture in customers’ homes
• Working through a delivery schedule with the support of your crew mate
• Work as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles
• Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback
• Making sure the team is safe by carrying out checks and driving safely
• Work 44 hours over 4 days with every Sunday off. Flexibility would be required in peak periods

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience within a driving role
• Category C1 vehicle licence
• Driver digital tachograph card
• Relevant drivers CPC qualification (certificate of professional competence)
• Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements of operating a vehicle and is familiar with the use and regulation of tacographs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow process and procedures
• Strives to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling as this role involves heavy lifting
