Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting for multiple 7.5T Drivers in York (YO26) for an internationally known client. Roles involve daily deliveries and collections with an emphasis on reliability and customer service. PAYE rate £17.98/hr with overtime £23.43/hr, typical shifts Mon-Fri with occasional weekends.

Applicants should have CPC and Tachograph cards, up to 6 penalty points, and at least 1 year of 7.5T experience. Gi Group supports privacy and compliant recruitment processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience with 7.5T roles.
• Valid Tachograph and CPC qualifications are required.
• No more than 6 penalty points on the licence.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle checks.

• Manual handling during loading/unloading.
• Handling device to confirm delivery status and communicate with the depot.
• Prioritising workload to meet time commitments.

Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting multiple 7.5T Drivers for our internationally known client in York (YO26). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics.

Drivers shifts and Pay:

• Monday to Friday - occasional weekends offered
• Hours of Work: 09:00
• £17.98/hr standard*
• £23.43/hr OT (after 40hrs)*Please note that this pay rate is PAYE and includes advanced holiday pay

7.5T Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting vehicle checks
• Making deliveries/collections each day to customers and depots
• Manual handling is involved while loading and unloading
• Handling device to confirm delivery status and communicate with the depot
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Good customer service skills
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
• At least 1yr experience with 7.5T roles
