Job summary

Brighton and Hove City Council is seeking a frontline tenancy support worker to assist residents aged 55 and over. The role focuses on day-to-day support to help residents live independently, build a friendly community, and keep schemes safe and secure.

You will conduct wellbeing checks and respond to emergencies including alarm activations, working with colleagues and partner organisations to deliver compassionate seniors housing across the city. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people aged 55 and over.
• DBS check required.
• Nice to have sheltered or retirement housing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day tenancy support to residents 55+ to help them live independently and maintain wellbeing.
• Carry out regular wellbeing checks to confirm residents are safe and supported.
• Help manage the scheme and keep the building safe, secure and comfortable.
• Respond to emergencies including alarm activations.
• Build a friendly, diverse and supportive community within the scheme.
• Support colleagues in delivering the seniors housing service across the city.
