Job summary

Babcock invites applications for a 5-Year Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing Apprenticeship. You’ll contribute to mechanical system design, building and improvement while studying for a BEng Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing through UWE.

You'll rotate across Marine projects, gaining hands-on workshop experience and exposure to the full engineering lifecycle. Supported by mentors and senior engineers, you’ll develop problem-solving and collaboration skills, with access to fully

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English and Maths.
• UCAS points: 112, with Mathematics and a second science/engineering.
• Engineering qualifications (A Levels/BTEC/IB/etc) as listed in the programme.
• Security clearance BPSS/SC requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Support design, build and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Rotate through Marine business to assist design, development and delivery of engineering solutions.
• Work in apprentice workshop with milling, turning and fitting techniques.
• Learn manufacturing processes and quality control practices.
