Job summary

Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is seeking a Brasserie Supervisor to join our luxury Georgian country house hotel. This full-time role focuses on delivering outstanding table service, leading shifts and guiding the team on menus and wine selections.

You’ll oversee Micros POS functions, manage opening/closing procedures, and drive upselling to meet revenue targets. A guest-focused, hands-on leader with strong F&B knowledge and solid organisational skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a brasserie/restaurant/bar supervisory role.
• Strong food & beverage product knowledge.
• Confident with POS systems and reporting.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Guest-focused, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with efficient, personal service on the floor.
• Lead and manage service shifts to hotel standards.
• Demonstrate advanced F&B knowledge and wine recommendations.
• Oversee Micros POS management functions and reporting.
• Open and close procedures, banking and cashiering.
• Upsell to help meet revenue targets.
• Support and coach colleagues to maintain high team focus.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues.
