Job summary

SR2 REC LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist to join a precision engineering team involved in robotics, defence, and advanced engineering. This hands-on role covers programming through to finished parts, working with modern CNC equipment on complex components, with ownership from CAD models to final parts.

A strong background in 5-axis machining and a proactive problem-solving approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming and machining experience.
• Experience with 5-axis machining (3+2 and/or simultaneous).
• Good working knowledge of Fusion 360 CAM.
• Ability to program, set and optimise CNC machining processes.
• Experience producing complex, precision-engineered components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Good understanding of tooling, workholding and machining strategies.
• Comfortable working independently and troubleshooting machining challenges.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up 5-axis CNC parts from CAD models.
• Machinize complex precision components on Haas or similar machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
• Optimize cycles and tooling for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining challenges and improve processes.
• Collaborate in a small team on varied engineering projects.
