Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Pattern Shop Machinist to join the Manufacturing team. You will set up and machine patterns, jigs and carbon components using advanced CNC centres to support race car development and production.

You will read drawings, maintain quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines, with a day shift from 07:30 to 18:30, Monday to Thursday.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or engineering-equivalent training is required.
• Ability to operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres to exact drawings.
• Strong understanding of engineering materials and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with high accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine patterns, jigs and carbon components to drawings.
• Operate and optimise 3-axis and 5-axis CNC centres.
• Perform self-inspection to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and technical teams to resolve machining challenges.
• Maintain accurate work orders and production data.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and continuous workflow.
• Suggest ideas to improve quality and efficiency.
