Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a 5 Axis CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer for a Hayes-based role with a late shift (2pm–10pm). You will set, operate and program Kitamura CNC machines, read engineering drawings and ensure parts meet quality standards in a busy precision engineering environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with 4–5 axis CNC machines, Fanuc controls, and a proactive approach to maintaining accuracy and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience with 4 Axis or 5 Axis CNC machines preferred.
• Fanuc controls experience beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set Operate and Program 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres
• Work with Fanuc control systems
• Load and unload components and tooling
• Monitor machining operations and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Read and work from engineering drawings and production documentation
• Carry out basic quality inspections using measuring equipment
• Maintain machine cleanliness and good housekeeping standards
• Support production and manufacturing operations as required
• Follow company health & safety procedures at all times

5 Axis CNC Setter/Operator/programmer – Manufacturing / Precision Engineering - Lates 2pm -10pm

We are currently recruiting for a 5 Axis CNC Machinistto join a well-established manufacturing and precision engineering company based in Hayes.

This role involves operating 5 Axis Kitamura CNC machining centres with Fanuc controls within a busy production environment, manufacturing high-quality engineered components.

The company is looking for someone with previous CNC machining experience who is confident operating CNC machinery and working from engineering drawings.
