Job summary

GTS Group Ltd in Northampton is seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join our precision engineering team. You will create CNC programs for 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines and develop efficient toolpaths and manufacturing strategies for complex components used in high-performance industries.

Working closely with the Engineering Manager and manufacturing team, you will interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances to deliver accurate programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as CAD/CAM Programmer in precision engineering.
• Experience programming 3-, 4- and 5-axis parts.
• Familiarity with HAAS, Belotti and HOMAG machines is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs for 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines.
• Develop efficient toolpaths and machining strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager to determine best manufacturing approach.
• Use CAD to design fixtures and workholding solutions.
