Job summary

Gattaca is seeking an experienced CAM Programmer to join our Southwark-based manufacturing team. You will develop, optimise and industrialise machining processes for aerospace, defence, energy and robotics components, creating efficient CNC programs and validating manufacturing strategies.

The role involves partnering with machinists, engineers and software developers to improve cycle times, tooling selection, fixturing and data capture, while supporting NPI and DFManufactURE feedback to improve

Qualifications

Experience programming CNC milling/turning
Ability to interpret engineering drawings with GD&T
Capable of manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances

Responsibilities

Create, simulate, verify and optimise CNC programs across multiple tools.
Develop machining strategies for complex, high-precision components.
Select tooling, work holding, feeds speeds and methods to maximise efficiency and quality.
Support first article prove-outs and process validation activities.
Continuously improve cycle times, machine utilisation and throughput.
Design and refine fixturing and setup strategies for repeatability.
Support NPI activities from design review to production release.
Provide DFM feedback to engineering and customers.
Maintain machining documentation, setup sheets and standards.
Collaborate with operators, engineers and software teams to enhance workflows.
Support automation, probing technologies and advanced machining techniques.
