Job summary

Stonegate Farmers Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for our Egg Innovation Centre. You will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a range of processing equipment, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will diagnose electrical, mechanical and control faults, engage in root cause analysis and support continuous improvement projects across production lines.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical/mechanical discipline.
• NVQ3/BTEC3 or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across production equipment.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
• Install, commission and improve equipment to support reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards.
