Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer for a 4 Day Week in Ampthill. You will manage baselines, assess design changes, and ensure CM policy compliance on complex defence programmes. The role offers a four-day week (Monday to Thursday) and on-site responsibilities in Bedfordshire.

Applicants should have CM experience, an engineering degree, and familiarity with PLM systems; Windchill knowledge is a bonus. Security clearance (SC) is required to start.

Qualifications

• Experience in configuration management within an engineering environment.
• Solid grasp of configuration management principles: identification, change control, status accounting and audit.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools and a PLM system.
• Degree in engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Analyse proposed design changes for their impact on the wider product and system.
• Set up and maintain configuration baselines.
• Contribute to change control, assess and track engineering changes.
• Write impact reports for engineers and programme leads to make informed decisions.
• Review released engineering change data and ensure compliance with CM policy.
• Collaborate with PLM/CM tools (Windchill is a bonus) with experienced engineers.
• Over time participate in MBSE, digital engineering, digital twin and related work.
