Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own electrical subsystems for defence platforms in harsh environments. The role requires DV clearance or eligibility and is full-time on site in Bedfordshire.

You will manage derating, EMC thinking, lab testing, and documentation using Zuken, Harnware or Windchill. You will collaborate across planning, procurement and change control with the Design Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical qualification (HNC/HND or BEng) required.
• Experience in electrical hardware design for harsh environments.
• Ability to perform derating, stress and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with electrical CAD or harness design tools.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical and electronic subsystems design from trade studies to sign-off.
• Work through phase-gate process with derating, EMC and verification.
• Write documentation: requirements, compliance evidence and test reports.
• Support planning, procurement, material control and change control as needed.
• Work on-site with DV clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
